This gorgeous spalted maple table top was created from the cross cut (cookie) of a tree trunk. The depth of the original cookie was approximately 3 inches. It was sliced in half, with the resulting two cookies placed opposite each other in the mold, creating a mirror effect.
This table has lots of imagery, telling stories at every glance. Some see the silhouette of a woman's head, others see islands surrounded by the ocean. One or two people have even seen a rhinoceros or an extraterrestial being! Amazingly, when viewed from the proper angle, the naturally occurring word “wine” is clearly evident…a great conversation piece for wine lovers!
The table sits on a custom steel, gray powdered color spider style base. Its dimensions are 90” long 42” wide 2-1/4” deep including border. Finish table height 30”. Price: $9,500.
