Just like people, there are billions of trees in the world and thousands of species, some even yet to be discovered. Each species has its own unique grain patterns and every tree within each species has its own unique characteristics, with its own natural artistry and its own story to tell. Igweco LLC endeavors to marry the innate beauty of the finest local and exotic woods with colorful resins to create one-of-a-kind dining tables, console tables, coffee tables, desktops, and trays. Our belief is that art doesn’t have to only be displayed on walls or pedestals, it can also be utilitarian – serving your practical needs, while providing aesthetic pleasure and speaking to your soul. The Products
Igweco offers a wide range of resin and wood products, including dining tables, console tables, coffee tables, desks, C-tables, and serving boards, a range of products limited only by the imaginations and needs of clients. The products are intended to celebrate natural beauty and organic forms, using high quality materials to ensure that the finished products stand out, make an artistic statement, and provide for the functional requirements of each client. Because each piece is handcrafted and every piece of wood is unique and because of the natural changes in epoxy resin during the curing process, we have learned to expect the unexpected. However, the result can always be counted on to be EXQUISITE!
The Customization Process
Igweco believes in providing its clients with a personalized experience. We work closely with each client to understand their needs and provide them with customized solutions. We will guide you through the entire process, from identifying the preferred wood species, selecting the specific slab of woodand mixing the desired resin colors. Clients are kept abreast during each phase of their individual projects. Once complete, the product is expeditiously prepared for delivery or shipment.
The Artist
The artist ,IGWE, has worked with wood for over 40 years. His love affair with wood crafting and fabrication began in Wood Shop Class in elementary, middle and high school. With the skills gained in class, as a teenager, he designed and fabricated a stereo cabinet for his family’s audio equipment! Over the years, he progressed from making and selling children’s toys to building props for theater productions while in college to fabricating furniture for his own young family. He taught woodwork to elementary and middle school students for several years. From there, he began to design and fabricate built-in shelving units and kitchen cabinets, using exotic woods, for both residential and commercial Green Buildings applications. After taking a class focused on incorporating epoxy resins into furniture design, the artist made a table for himself. Once friends and family saw the table, the requests started pouring in and a business was born. Welcome to Inner Space Designs by Igweco!
